ARTISTIC TEAM
Artistic Director Dr. Lee Steward is an accomplished musician and a singer in the San Francisco Opera Chorus. He is also a widely experienced conductor and leader of secondary, college, community, and professional choral organizations around the country, most notably with the Boys Choir of Harlem and San Francisco Girls Chorus.
Lee believes that singing is a vital part of who we are; it is what makes us unique and kindles our humanity. Our bodies are created to sing and the goal at Accompany is to find our individual and collective voice with structured practice and vocal exercise. All are welcome to join us!
Pianist Keisuke Nakagoshi is an active performer as a chamber musician, concerto soloist and solo recitalist on concert stages across the US. He is a founding member of Grammy-nominated piano duo ZOFO with Swiss pianist Eva-Maria Zimmermann. Mr. Nakagoshi is currently a creative team of Opera Parallèle and West Edge Opera, and a member of San Francisco Contemporary Music Players. He made his solo debut with the San Francisco Symphony with Herbert Blomstedt conducting.
Soloist Jessica House Steward has sung in choirs from the age of 7 years through high school. She was an opera and voice performance major in college and in graduate school. She has gone on to establish her performance career as a soloist in opera and oratorio while continuing to work professionally as a singer in choral ensembles, including Bay Area-based groups Volti and Ave, as well as serving as the executive director of the San Francisco Choral Society.
